What information do I need to supply in my listing?
You’ll be asked about your requirements (such as location, timing, environmental handling, data sanitization and logistics), what and how many devices you have and some basic company information.
What types of devices can I list?
Currently we accept computers (laptops and desktops), phones, tablets and wearable devices can all be added to your listing. Please note that we’re always growing, so check back later if you have devices outside of our current offering.

You will receive an email notification when you have offers ready to review.
What information will I receive about the winning buyer?
Assembly will provide you with the company and contact information on the winning buyer as soon as your auction is completed. Each buyer goes through a strict vetting process in order to participate in Assembly, so you can feel confident that all buyers will meet your expectations.
What happens if I don’t get any offers on my listing?
If you don’t get any offers, you’ll have the option to re-post your listing with the same or even different requirements to try to get additional interest in your devices.
How do the devices physically get to the buyer after a listing has been completed?
When creating your listing, you will be asked to select a procurement type as either Onsite Pickup, Packaging Materials Provided (by buyer), Shipping Labels provided (by buyer), or you may handle your own packaging and shipping. Prospective buyers will be shown your choice when bidding on your lot, and the winning buyer will work with you to confirm the details of the pickup/shipping plan.
Do I need to data-erase devices beforehand?
We recommend that you wipe your devices, however all devices will go through a full data sanitization upon receipt at the buyer’s location.
How does Assembly match me with the right buyers?
As you create your listing, you’ll select the criteria you expect buyers to meet (location, shipping/pickup options, certifications, etc.). Assembly’s intelligent platform filters a large pool of vetted organizations and matches you with right-fit buyers. We will only show your listing to buyers that can fulfil the requirements that you’ve identified.
How much does it cost to use Assembly to sell my devices?
There is no charge to sign-up or post a listing. If your listing sells you’ll pay the Assembly Sale Fee calculated as 5% of the total bid amount up to $40 per unit sold, which is automatically deducted from the order payment from the Buyer through Assembly. After the Buyer payment has been submitted and you have confirmed shipment of the order, the payment amount due will be released to you.
